Motion on consultation on USS and/or Four Fights disputes

HEC notes:

A. Current status of USS and Four Fights disputes

B. Length of time since a formal update from the full negotiating teams on each.

C. These are legally separate disputes

HEC resolves

1. That any member consultation must be accompanied by a report with recommendations by the full teams of elected negotiators, including realistic assessments of the status of proposals, and possible risks to implementation, alongside a recommendation from HEC arrived at by 3 below.

2. To vote in parts (yes/no/abstain) to consult the membership on one or both (separately) of D & E below:

D. Interim statement on the USS dispute.

E. Proposals on the Four Fights dispute.

3. To agree to provide recommendations by voting in parts (a/b/abstain) as follows (a) note progress on dispute and stand down action in respect of dispute, (b) reject the proposals outright.

Voting a) in one dispute does not preclude action in the other.
